Hi! I am Anika Norrgard. I love early mornings of solitude, the feel of the sun on my skin, curating flowers from Trader Joe’s to arrange, spontaneous trips across town to Malibu to take an afternoon swim, collecting glassware, and spending time at my home in Highland Park with my boyfriend, our son and the cat.

I’m on a quest for authenticity, for kindness and compassion, an embodied loving presence, community, and being in service to others.

After spending so much of my life running from myself, through disordered eating, unhealthy habits, judgemental mindsets, I have been seeking out practices and modalities that bring me back to balance and strengthen my mind,

body and heart connection. That help me find a bit of calm or inner peace I can rely on while staying engaged in this increasingly fast and stimulating life I have grown to love in Los Angeles, so I can be a better partner, mother, friend and part of this community. While engaging in these practices for my own benefit, I felt the call to bring the same care to my community and anybody struggling to regain connection with themselves.

Today, I am a dedicated body worker specializing in craniosacral techniques, mindful movement, grounding energy work, transformative sound healing, and mindfulness meditation practices. This quest for connectedness and well-being keeps me busy; I am always learning, expanding and evolving my offerings.

In 2016 I trained with Meital Bat Or Johnson and became a Certified Yoga Teacher,  through Yogala Studios, Echo Park. Shortly after, I continued to advance my education of the body by enrolling in The National Holistic Institute’s 1,250 hour Advanced Neuromuscular Massage Therapist Program. Throughout 2018 and 2019 I traveled to Colorado to study Tibetan Cranial and Meditation with Shar Lee. In 2022, to deepen my yoga practice, I took another 200 hr training with Jennifer Elliot and Michelle McKay through YogaWorks; as well as a 25 hr training in Yin Yoga with Jennifer Elliot. I have trained with The Upledger Institute and Karen Axelrod  in CranioSacral Therapy.

I am currently enrolled in Tara Brach and Jack Kornfields’ two year Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification Program. I will be holding my first Introduction to Mindfulness Meditation Class in May, see upcoming events for more info!

I am passionate about supporting your journey of self-discovery and self-healing so you feel grounded, healthy and present in your body; of helping you to reconnect with yourself and the world through practices of the mind, body and heart. I take the client-therapist relationship extremely seriously. My practice is built on mutual trust, professionalism and a passion to stand witness as you experience the profound transformations that can occur through touch, sound, energetic healing, and practices of mindful awareness. I am so grateful to serve my community through this work. I can’t wait to meet you!
